1. What do your clients say about you?

Interesting question! Sometimes they don’t have to say much. The joy and motivation they get from coaching are often reflected in the sparkle in their eyes. With energy and humor, I like to break out of my comfort zone and thought patterns in my head during coaching and provide new impulses and perspectives for their own professional development. It never gets boring. The clients appreciate my high level of personal commitment and are happy about the motivational boost they take home after the coaching sessions. The coaching often has a lasting effect and they continue to successfully apply the strategies developed in their lives.

2. How will digitization change the general coaching business? And how will you deal with it?

Digitization, AI, and the change in the New York area are putting our working world, organizations, and people alike under particular tension and facing new challenges. I also see great opportunities for each of us. In addition to the previous success factors, it is therefore becoming increasingly important to reflect on one’s strengths and to strengthen skills such as one’s ability to change, reflect, and make decisions. Digitalization does indeed create immensely fast accessibility and contact density, but the success of the consulting business is still based on sympathy and proximity. It is therefore all the more important to make our communication open, appreciative, and quick. A positive experience for the client with us begins long before the first consultation appointment. The key to this is people management. With digital competence, a high level of empathy, and understanding of the respective situation, we meet our clients where they are and accompany them equally successfully on their paths and with their ideas, in person or online. And, if desired, we use AI for smart paths.

3. In your own words: What does a coach do?

For me, a coach is a sparring partner who leads through the coaching with trust, open questions, and good intuition. It’s not always about the best method, but rather about accepting, picking up, reflecting, organizing, and encouraging the client. “Every person is a surprise package.” Curiosity, personal experiences and an honest conversation are good signposts for recognizing your resources together and developing new solutions. Humor and courage make many things easier and are part of that for me.
