1. What qualifies you as a coach/trainer?
I went down this path myself. As a lawyer, I was self-employed from the start. The decision not to always have to deal with disputes led me to mediation training after a few years. After the coaching training that followed, I became self-employed again after my parental leave, with the support of a start-up coach. Since then, I have been a committed self-employed person and am constantly developing my offer. In between, life has repeatedly presented me with some very extreme challenges, which I have always mastered at my own pace as an entrepreneur and family manager. I still try to juggle everything as best I can. Sometimes I am happy about new challenges, because something else always comes up anyway and I have learned that things always move forward if you don’t stand still. I have now accompanied over 500 founders and am an expert on the subject of start-ups. I look forward to every new start-up project.
2. What measurable results have you achieved together with your clients and what sets you apart?
Anyone who comes to me for start-up advice leaves with new knowledge and a lot of clarity. We review the idea together. In order to assess its viability, I have to understand the idea and the concept. To do this, I ask a lot of questions that make the founder think more intensively about individual points. This brings a lot of clarity, especially with difficult points where you cannot be more specific on your own or questions remain unanswered. The best feeling is when the founder ends the consultation well prepared and with clarity for his next steps, then seeing the companies on site or online, for example, how they grow and possibly being approached again as a mentor during the growth phases.
3. What do you find most fulfilling about your job?
Accompanying people in realizing their dreams.
4. What do your clients say about you?
My clients are grateful for the support, structuring, critical questions, gaining their own clarity, input on many formal questions, empathy, thinking along and much more.
5. What are you particularly proud of when you think about your career?
I kept going and dared to take the next step or the next change, despite everything that seemed to speak against it. I never lost sight of my dream, I kept refining it and now I have arrived – I do what I love and am happy about every entrepreneur who beams after our collaboration.
6. What possibilities does individual coaching offer – and where do you possibly reach your limits?
With individual coaching, we can look at all your questions and topics holistically, work at your pace, and take all your needs into account.
7. How do you recognize a good coach?
A coach is an expert in the process. Sometimes it is even better if the coach has no idea about the company’s industry. He has to ask more questions to understand everything. This gives the founder clarity for communication with his future customers (who may not all be experts in the entrepreneur’s industry). In addition, empathy, honesty, individuality in coaching, and authenticity are particularly important to me. It is also about getting honest, objective and critical feedback in the start-up phase in order to identify avoidable mistakes and not fall into the debt trap without noticing.
8. In your own words: What does a coach do?
A coach accompanies and supports the coachee on his or her journey.
