1. What qualifies you as a Coach/Trainer?
Even though I have completed further training as a systemic coach, what qualifies me most is my huge wealth of experience from various employee positions in management positions (product manager, sales manager), but above all my 10 years as an independent restaurateur. I also have a wealth of experience from over 500 start-up support sessions (especially AVGS coaching sessions) since 2017.
2. What do your clients say about you?
The feedback I get most often from my clients is that I approach them very individually. I will not do the same run-of-the-mill coaching every time.
In addition, I have the ability to present difficult issues (taxes, legal forms, etc.) clearly. The fact that I ran my own company for 10 years certainly helps me in this regard.
And last but not least, my clients love that, despite all the technical requirements, it is still fun, that people like to listen to me and “hang on my every word” when I tell anecdotes from my own self-employment.
3. What drives you and what is your favorite task as a Coach/Trainer?
I want my clients’ future self-employment to be as successful as possible. I love being a part of the start-up phase.
4. What are you particularly proud of when you think about your career?
Being self-employed successfully for 17 years.
5. How will digitalization change the general coaching business? And how will you deal with it?
I already conduct around 95% of all coaching sessions online.
6. What possibilities does individual coaching offer – and where do you possibly encounter limits?
Limits tend to exist outside of coaching, for example when banks “do not” grant loans.
7. How do you recognize a good coach?
You can recognize a good coach by the fact that he responds to his clients individually and doesn’t “run through his program”. He must have the ability to understand and speak the language of his clients – in a figurative sense. And a good coach must not only have technical skills, but also human ones. Client must feel that they are in good hands and the coaching can also be fun 😊
8. In your own words: What does a coach do?
A coach helps people to help themselves. In other words, he provides the tools so that founders can be successful on their own.
