2. What drives you and what is your favorite task as a coach?
For me, coaching is not a job, it is my passion. Seeing limiting beliefs disappear into thin air or uncertainty quickly turning into confidence fills me with joy. Personal development (reducing fears and stress, resolving blockages and self-doubt, increasing performance and mental strength, changing negative ways of thinking and behaving, developing potential) is my absolute favorite task in coaching.
3. How will digitalization change the general coaching business? And how will you deal with it?
Since March 2020, I have been offering online coaching in addition to face-to-face coaching. I use zoom for this. Of course, it always depends on the client’s needs, because not all methods can be implemented 100% in online coaching as in face-to-face coaching. It also depends heavily on the client’s preferences. Not every client feels comfortable with online coaching and may prefer face-to-face coaching in compliance with hygiene rules. There will certainly be more and more online coaching in the future, as it also brings many advantages, such as time savings or spatial flexibility. I have completed further training as a wingwave online coach for this. Because I believe that face-to-face coaching cannot simply be transferred to online coaching. This requires different or expanded skills from the coaches. Some methods also have to be adapted for online coaching.
4. What is the best way to switch off?
On a walk with the family and our dog.
5. What are the possibilities of individual coaching – and where do you possibly reach your limits?
Coaching is complex and varied. Individual coaching means that I do not work with a ready-made solution box, as consultants often do. Instead, I specifically address the individual needs of my clients. We are all different so every coaching session is different and not every method is suitable for every client.
Coaching takes place voluntarily and requires a good and trusting relationship between coach and client. Otherwise you will quickly reach your limits here.
