1. What qualifies you as a coach/trainer?
Since 2016, I have been supporting people with expertise and enthusiasm in their professional reorientation and supporting them in all phases of the application process – this has enabled me to gain a large and valuable wealth of experience.
But my methodological knowledge is also an important building block for my work as a systemic consultant: in 2013, I attended a seminar on systemic consulting. The spark of enthusiasm immediately caught on. That same year, I therefore began a 2-year training course to become a systemic consultant – a decision that I would still describe as one of the best of my life.
2. What do you find most fulfilling about your job?
What I find most fulfilling is that I can pursue a career that makes absolute sense. Because systemic consulting means that the focus is not on deficits, but on potential. This creates a space in which people can grow. I find it very fulfilling to be able to accompany people through a growth or change process in which their own talents and desires become (again) audible.
3. How do you recognize a good coach?
I have thought a lot about this question because I associate high content standards with my advice. In order to be a good coach and to remain one, I find sound professional qualifications indispensable. I also find it important to reflect on my work regularly. Here I benefit greatly from regular exchanges with colleagues who, like me, work in career coaching. Equally important for me are the discussions with my supervisor, who looks at my work from his own professional perspective.
For me, a good coach is also about human qualities, which are shown, for example, by someone simply having their heart in the right place.
